Ian Masterson

Ian Kenneth Masterson is a British media composer, electronic musician and pop producer. Ian graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 and has worked as a composer, songwriter and producer for over 20 years. For television Ian has scored many hit comedy series, including The Windsors, Absolutely Fabulous, Boomers, Some Girls, The Job Lot and Beautiful People. He has also scored over 30 documentaries for BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, from the seminal Jump London / Jump Britain parkour films to Panorama and Hansa Studios: By The Wall. He is currently the music producer on BBC Strictly Come Dancing. Ian scored the opening film for the Paralympics Opening Ceremony in 2012 and has worked extensively in live event and concert production. He was music producer for The Coronation 60th Anniversary Concerts at Buckingham Palace in 2013, which was broadcast across the world by the BBC, and recently produced Bananarama's hugely popular reunion tour. As a songwriter, producer or remixer he has worked with a huge variety of chart-topping acts, including Pet Shop Boys, Paul Oakenfold, Bananarama, Dannii Minogue, Kylie Minogue, Sophie-Ellis Bextor, Girls Aloud, Geri Halliwell, Belinda Carlisle and Saint Etienne.
